I never planned to become a financial planner.

My father was in the business, and I swore I would never follow in his footsteps. I studied broadcasting and fine art, then started my career as a graphic designer for the provincial government and as a cartoonist for local newspapers.

Eventually, I realized I wasn’t loving the work. So I left that job to work with my father “just for a while” until I figured out what was next. That was 21 years ago.

What I discovered is that financial planning is not really about numbers, suits, and spreadsheets. It is about people. It is about helping smart, hard-working families make sense of financial decisions that can shape the rest of their lives.

Today, I am a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Retirement Planner living in New Brunswick. I provide fee-only financial planning for people who want clear, understandable advice at a fair price, primarily serving clients across Atlantic Canada.

My approach is planning-first. That means the focus is on advice, clarity, strategy, and decision-making.

I use simple language, hand-drawn visuals, and practical conversations to explain complex financial planning topics. I want clients to understand the “why” behind each recommendation, not just be handed a report full of charts and assumptions.

The real risk is not just the market. It is making big financial decisions without seeing the full picture.
